Bank of America Sell Credit Card Business in Canada
Good news for Canadians. Bank of America Corporation has announced that it has agreed to sell its credit card business in Canada to TD Bank Group. On the other hand, Bank of America will get out of credit card business in the UK and Ireland.
Chief Executive Officer Bank of America Brian Moynihan said, “Our strategy is clear. We have changed the company to give the franchise to our major customer groups, and build a fortress balance sheet behind it.”
For Bank of America, credit card remains the core product which is fundamental to the bank’s customers in the U.S.. An ‘international consumer card business under another brand is not consistent with that strategy, Moynihan added.
The bank also continues the transformation of Bank of America’s credit card business after selling of the U.K. Business landing portfolio, the agreement to sell its Spanish business cards business, and companies continue to exit from the depository institution affinity credit card business with the recent sales of the Regions and Sovereign credit card portfolios.

Patricia Neal Died of Lung Cancer
Patricia Neal, 84, Academy Award-winning icon, had died. The actress who grew up in Knoxville was unable to fight lung cancer continues to undermine her health pliers. She died at 11 on Sunday at her Martha’s Vineyard house, surrounded by her family, according to Bud Albers, a close family friend of Knoxville.
For her memorial service will be held on Wednesday in Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard.
A celebration of life and the funeral is planned for the weekend at the Abby of Regina ludic, enclosed Benedictine Nunnery, in Connecticut, where the actress spent hours in a small house that is good for solace and healing after converting to Catholicism.
